Sada P.A.M.E.L.A., Sci-Fi FPS Early Access na únor 2017

NVYVE Studios announced recently that the official Early Access release window for their sci-fi FPS, PAMELA, has been set for February in 2017 next year.

The news went out over on the Parní stránky for the game where they discuss that the original fall release window for 2016 has been pushed back to 2017.

NVYVE Studios explained that they’re gamers, too, and they like games releasing in a complete state…

“Hopefully you’ll agree with us in prioritizing a stronger launch over an earlier launch. As gamers, we’ve all been burnt by picking up a game right at launch, only to find ourselves wishing we had waited a few months for things to smooth out.”

Right there with you. There are have been way too many games these last two gens that have launched prematurely, only to have to have the developers have to go back to the drawing board and fix up and freshen up the title like an unkempt dog making its way onto the Kennel Club show before being properly groomed. Well, NVYVE don’t want their game to roll out onto the stage unkempt and ungroomed.

The Unity-powered first-person sci-fi FPS has received a number of recent updates, including improved textures and models, new ability effects, upgraded animations for the NPCs, new level geometry for one of the game’s districts, optimized inventory and equipment menus, as well as additional work on enemy NPC models.

I wouldn’t doubt it if PAMELA misses its February launch window but if it’s all to make the game a better product, then a delay is definitely in everyone’s best interests. The team has plans on keeping the game in Early Access between six and nine months, after that they want to have the game released officially.
