Neškodní démoni vám umožní sadisticky pitvat démona

French developer Percepied has a new game set to come out this year called Harmless Demon. The game is about a strange demon ending up in your possession, and so you do what any curious scientist does: you dissect the demon in your observatory.

The game certains around attempting to understand the behavior and genome of a demon. This will require you to interact with the demon and utilize a number of different tools in order to test the limits and genetic makeup of the demon.

An introduction to the basic premise of the game was laid out in the video below.

The gameplay has several layers to it. As you observe the demon you must take notes of what you observe and then you’ll be able to unlock new research points for the genome map.

You’ll use the points you earn to make new discovers on the map to gain new traits that you can then test and observe within the demon.

The objective is to gain enough points to unlock the entire map and discover all of the different traits, mannerisms, and behavior limits of the demon.

You can get an idea of what the gameplay loops are like with the demonstration video below.

It’s not a particularly expansive game as far as features and content is concerned, but it does play around with a rather unique concept.

The developer described the game as a sort of perverse interpretation of the classic Tamagotchi games. It’s a little like playing with bugs in your backyard, only instead of it being a winged, buzzing pest, it’s a purplish looking demon with horns.

There’s no exact release date set for Neškodní démoni, but it is scheduled to release at some point in 2020. You can learn more by visiting the Stránka IndieDB.
