TheC64 Mini vychází 29. března 2018 s 64 předinstalovanými hrami

The official launch date for the Commodore 64 Mini has been set by Retro Games and Koch Media. You can expect to get your hands on the C64 Mini starting March 29th, 2018 for $69.99. The miniature gaming PC device will come with 64 pre-installed games and will also support homebrew.

TheC64 Mini comes with an HDMI port so you can plug it directly into your TV, along with a joystick and two USB ports on the side.

As noted by Paul Andrews, the managing director at Retro Games, TheC64 Mini will also make its way to retail shops, too. Andrews mentions in the press release…

“We are delighted to bring to retail THEC64 mini and let both original fans of the machine, and all-new generations of games players discover this amazing system, as well as maybe even have a go at programming it for themselves!”

Obviously a lot of people are probably curious what sort of games will be available in the line-up of 64 titles from the Commodore 64’s heyday. You’ll have to decide for yourself if that’s worth the $69.99 price tag. TheC64 Mini was originally announced last year zpět v říjnu, but some of the details on the game selection and the launch date were sketchy. Now that everything is clear as day, does this Commodore 64 re-release seem worth it?

For anyone who has tried emulating the games and went through the troubleshooting hassles of trying to get them to work right, I imagine this looks like some sort of benison from Retro Games. How well it’ll play is a whole other story.
