Terminator: Resistance EGX Gameplay Video náhledy Stealth, zbraně, hackování miniher

Reef Entertainment and Teyon’s Terminátor: Odpor is a first-person shooter. The game is a futuristic prequel to the events that take place in the Terminator series. 27 minutes worth of footage have been revealed courtesy of the EGX London event.

During the PlayStation Access livestream of Terminátor: Odpor we learn a little bit about the game’s mechanics, controls, mini-games, and side-quests.

The early part of the video covers a stealth segment where you have to disable turrets using a hacking mini-game, lock-pick doors using a separate mini-game, and attempt to acquire supplies utilizing a crafting and inventory system.

You can see the 27 minute gameplay video below.

The stealth segment at the start is kind of lame, but things pick up when the player gets into the hospital and the T-800 patrols are terminating and dragging people throughout the hospital.

You’ll have to sneak past the T-800s and avoid the turrets.

Now if you think the game is all run-and-gun action, that’s not the case at all.

While you’ll start with a hefty helping of weapons, including an M16, a pump-action shotgun and an UZI, none of those will be useful against the actual Terminators since… well, they’ll just bounce off of them.

When the one guy playing the demo encounters the Terminators a couple of times, he’s killed within the second before he even has time to fire.

To help add to the game’s intensity you’ll need to collect plasma equipment for the plasma rifles you’ll acquire later in the game. The basic small and medium arms fire may be useless against the machines, but the plasma rifles will do some hefty damage.

While the graphics look like they come from a 2008 Xbox 360 game, I do have to admit that the atmosphere and music are spot-on.

Připomíná mi to vyvinutou verzi Terminator: Rampage a Terminátor: Budoucí šok.

It certainly looks like a better game than Terminátor: Spása, which was downright horrible and only had the saving grace of co-op to make it partially tolerable. However, there’s still a lot of issues with this game. The AI is pretty bad, the stealth segments may as well be on rails, the voice acting is stilted, and the human animations during dialogue sequences look like a 2003 Xbox game… maybe even worse.

Každopádně, Terminátor: Odpor is due for release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One starting in November. It’s a shame it’s not a co-op shooter, but maybe it could provide for some tolerable fun when it arrives next month.
